Tenisio Seanima is a familiar (and beloved!) face in the Atlanta Good Food scene. His agricultural roots run deep—his Great-Grandfather August Long farmed in Texas well into his 80s, which inspired Seanima to be a graduate of the inaugural class of HABESHA, Inc.‘s Urban Grower program. He later moved on to establishing and managing the sales department for Truly Living Well Center for Natural Urban Agriculture.
Tenisio’s business acumen led him to establish ASILI Goods, an online grocery and food-service delivery company. Tenisio's most current appointment is as the Farmers Services Coordinator for Georgia Organics (GO) where he assists Georgia's farmers with providing local organic food to the families and institutions that desire it. His current project with GO is to develop the first state-wide training program for beginning farmers and ranchers.
Eugene Cooke began working in the urban agriculture movement in Southern California. He was baptized in urban gardening with a full immersion mentorship with Adonijah Miyamura El in Los Angeles developing Food Forestry at Crenshaw High school.
