Chef Byrd began her journey as a Vegan in 1997 while still in high school. She comes from a family of women who can throw down in the kitchen! So, creating and coming up with great recipes came naturally! After years of making food for friends for their private events she was motivated to start a catering company. Freedoms Garden was born in March of 2014! Chef Byrd had to hit the ground running because her unique raw gourmet entrees took off fast!
Selling out weekly and at all the summer festivals she attended! Although she's better known for her musical artistry as Songbyrd Jackson, she's also a new Chef on the scene that found a blessing in lovingly preparing affordable live healing foods. As a Reiki Master this chef also has a great understanding of food and how it effects our chi and chakra balance. A Natural Living Advocate and Food Researcher, she speaks and teaches at Grady Health Care and other facilities and schools about GMO's, food safety, and food preparation.
